Appreciation for the Simple Things

Your shoelace. Your face cloth. Your bar of soap.

A cup of tea. A pencil. A tiny flower.

An apple. A mango. A potato.

A smiling face. A grumpy face. A tear streaked face.

A mop. Dust on a plant leaf. A door knob.

The simple things.

Do you notice them? Do you walk on by? Do you ignore?

It’s ok if you do. I get lost in the fast pace of life too.

I notice

And I notice when I do pause, stop, or recognize I am moving at the speed of light, that a world of wonder opens, and I remember to take a breath and see the wondrous things I am blessed with.

A deep appreciation for the simple things washes over me.

Do you want to pause too? Yes. I will pause with you.

This is why I created the mindfulness practice called, Appreciation for the Simple Things- Just click any photo on this page to go directly there.

There is a video that accompanies my voice, which is a lovely reminder of all the incredible beauty and simplicity surrounding us in our lives.

I hope you enjoy. My wish is that you find your breath and pause with me.
