I am thrilled to share I recently became a Certified Functional Aging Specialist with the Institute for Functional Aging!!
I’m sure you’re thinking, “That’s great Nicole, congratulations! But, what does functional aging mean and how does it help me?”
I’m so glad you ask!
Functional Aging Means Soaring Gracefully
To me, functional aging means, soaring gracefully through the inevitable ebb and flow of age. No one will remain ‘young’ forever, yet there is magic in aging gracefully while maintaining your function, and your strength and energy.
In fact, it is imperative to support your mobility, cognition, your power, balance, vitality and your health throughout the trajectory of your life.
And YOU have the power to choose how you do it.
Functional Aging Means You Get to Choose
Functional Aging means you get to choose what you want, when you want it, with who you want to do it, and how you want to do it! And, you can choose to have someone to support you along your journey!
No matter what stage of life you’re in, you get to choose to fully engage in all aspects of your life, from your physical body, to your brilliant mind, to your social, spiritual and life balance needs, to your overall health.
You do this on your terms, while addressing your unique needs, desires and doing it all in a holistic, encompassing way.
Functional Aging Equals Active Aging
Another way to look at functional aging is that functional aging equals active aging. You are a dynamic and integral part of the process, not a bystander.
Things happen because YOU say so, you are in charge and encouraged to be true to your desires, interests and needs, and you are fully supported by people who want the best for you.
You are actively engaged in your present and future health.
Sound too good to be true? It’s not!
You can move through your entire life with grace, strength, power, balance, and resilience.
Your Life is Intended to be Filled with Vitality!
Your life is intended to be filled with vitality! And through the knowledge I have gained through the Functional Aging Specialist certification, along with my knowledge, skills and heart of being a Registered Nurse, and board certified Integrative Nurse Coach, I am even better suited to support you along your journey to continued functional and active aging.
I’d love to chat with you any time.
