Sleep Appreciation Mindfulness Practice
The lifestyle strategy of sleep- or rather- not getting enough sleep is often discussed in exasperation.
You may fantasize about getting enough zzz’s to keep you thriving in your life, or you may know someone who is struggling that could use some help to find some precious zzzz’s.
Sleep is imperative for health and wholeness and when it’s difficult to fall asleep, or stay asleep, it creates unease and can lead to chronic issues like anxiety, diabetes, and dementia. Let alone feeling terrible and losing patience with yourself and your loved ones.
Sleep Appreciation
This Sleep Appreciation Mindfulness Practice is one simple (and free) tool to help you find peace, calm and relaxation by focusing on my words and creating ease and a restful environment.
It will also help you find appreciation for something you may not always be grateful for, because maybe sleep eludes you. It may also open up more possibilities for you to sleep peacefully and with ease.
Listen while in a safe, quiet, dimly lit room, preferably after you’ve completed all your evening rituals and are preparing for a restful night of deep sleep. Ensure you are comfortable, pillows fluffed, cover your body with a cozy blanket and press play.
Or try it if you’re awake and can’t seem to fall back asleep in the middle of the night.
